What
We Do
The MHS
DSQIC supports MHS grantees and their delegate
agencies in delivering early childhood services to migrant
children with disabilities and their families by:
- Providing
culturally appropriate training and technical
assistance to MHS grantees;
- Promoting
best practices in child development, early
childhood education, special education, and family
services;
- Fostering
partnerships among MHS, local communities,
institutions of higher education, and government
agencies;
- Building
local capacity through local community
networks and academic-based programs;
- Ensuring
a continuous learning environment for MHS
grantees staff through mentoring strategies and the
exploration of emerging learning technologies; and
- Advocating
on behalf of migrant children and their families.
